The Patrol Division monitors traffic for violations, handles accident reports, citizen complaints, and a wide variety of services as necessary for the safety and welfare of those in our community.

CAPABILITIES
All officers in our agency receive training in the area of patrol procedures. Each officer is familiar with the various traffic statutes and village ordinances pertaining to the safe and effective manner in which traffic is to be conveyed through the village limits. Even with an aggressive approach to traffic enforcement, accidents do happen. To professionally handle these unfortunate incidents, officers are also trained in basic traffic accident investigation. In circumstances where a more in depth investigation is deemed necessary, the departments accident reconstruction team will be called in to assist. Officers also must handle citizen complaints and receive a variety of training in regards to this service. We encourage and promote the continual educational opportunities that become available for each officers advancement and continued development in all areas of law-enforcement.
