COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Officers of the Slinger Police Department donate their time for various activities with the children of the community. 

The Slinger Police Department Thanks all the businesses that support the following activities.  Their support help make all the programs possible.

BADGES, BOWS, AND ARROWS

"Badges, Bows, and Arrows" is a youth program which has been designed to catch the attention and interest of kids.   The idea behind the program is to get kids hooked on archery rather than drugs and crime.   This outing is organized several times per year through the Slinger Park and Recreation Department.   Bitter Creek Sports in Slinger has offered the use of their range in support of this program.   Participants of the program get a free T-Shirt with the various business Sponsor's on the back.  

GUTTER BUSTERS

"Gutter Busters" is another program designed to catch the attention of kids.   Like "Badges, Bows, and Arrows" we hope to bring different age groups together with Law-Enforcement for a positive outing.   With the help of volunteers and sponsors, the Slinger Police Department has been able to organize this contact with the kids of our community.   The kids receive a free Gutter Buster T-Shirt with the sponsors names on the back.  The idea of this program is to challenge our kids and teach them the meaning of teamwork, integrity, and respect for everyone.   This outing was held at the Kettle Moraine Bowl in Slinger.

COPS AND BOBBERS

"Cops and Bobbers"  is again another program where the kids get to go on an outing with Police Officers and develop a positive connection to a clean and healthy alternative.   Again through the various sponsors, this program is offered free to the kids of our community.   Like the other programs they receive a free T-Shirt with the sponsor names on the back and the activity logo on the front.
